Kerry and Richard

February 23rd, 2010 by admin | 1 Comment | Filed in Amberley Castle Photographers, The White Swan Weddings, Weddings

On Saturday I photographed the wedding of Kerry & Richard at St Michael’s Church, Amberley Castle & The White Swan Hotel, Arundel. We were very lucky with the weather, even though it clouded over at times, it didn’t stop play at all. Coverage began at Amberley Castle with Kerry getting ready before heading round the corner to St Michael’s church to see Richard and the guests arrive in an old classic London bus. After the ceremony we headed back to Amberley Castle for reception drinks and a few photographs before going on to the White Swan Hotel for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. I will be processing the RAW images throughout the coming week. Update: Here are a few shots from the day…

Recommended Wedding Photographers

February 22nd, 2010 by admin | Comments Off | Filed in Amberley Museum Weddings, Ghyll Manor Photographers, Photo News, Weddings

Just received two more lovely reviews…

“My husband & I were Married in June 2009 and we used Kevin Watkins as our photographer. We found him to be extremely professional, he made everyone feel at ease and he was in no way intrusive during our day. He took some amazing shots, was really imaginative and we were delighted with our photos which were excellent quality and provided in good time. We have used Kevin previously for a family portrait and for pictures of our young family and they were equally fantastic.” Karen & Steve Wadey.

And another…

“Kevin provides an amazing wedding photography service at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!” Rob & Kat Nayman

kwphoto

February 20th, 2010 by admin | Comments Off | Filed in Photo News

I am seeing an increasing number of versions of my main websites domian name ‘kwphoto’ being used by other people, either as a screen name on social networks such as twitter, facebook etc. or the same or very similar naming of photography websites, for example just having .com .net instead of .co.uk or adding an ‘s’ on the end. There is also a kwphotography which has cropped up recently along with a kevinwatkins.com (definitely not me!). It appears that there are quite a lot of people with the same name as me around the world actually.

My site kwphoto.co.uk has been registered for 10 years now, and I have been photographing weddings for over 20 years, so you could say I am the original kwphoto, however due to all the domain name copies and versions I am having to consider a change for the future.

I have now registered this domain kevinwatkinsphotography.co.uk and also the .com version in the hope that it makes the name a bit more specific. I am using it for this blog at the moment, but may move over to it for the entire site eventually, so that clients hopefully don’t go to one of the others by mistake!

I promise to stop posting these soon, I just can’t help it. Here is another review that has just been posted by Debra & Andrew Homer who got married last year at Bailiffscourt Hotel.

“We could not have been happier with the service that Kevin provided on our wedding day. Kevin is an exceptional photographer who makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. The photos were amazing and better than we could have hoped for. I cannot recommend Kevin Watkins Photography enough.” Debra & Andrew Homer

Spread Eagle Wedding & Parties Open Day

February 17th, 2010 by admin | Comments Off | Filed in Photo News, The Spread Eagle, Weddings

The Spread Eagle Hotel in Midhurst is having a wedding and parties open day (weekend actually) this weekend. Emma, the conference and events co-ordinator has asked me to come along as I am one of their recommended suppliers, unfortunately I am double booked with a big wedding on Saturday and a shoot on Sunday. However, they will be handing out some flyers for me and these will provide a 10% discount on weddings at the Spread Eagle, so if you are going along, keep an eye out for the flyers!

Hi again, well I had another great review this morning on freeindex.co.uk so thought I would post it here as before..

“Kevin photographed our wonderful winter wedding at Amberley Castle in December 2009. The photographs are truly amazing and we are exceptionally pleased with the service received throughout. Kevin helped to make our day one to remember with his professional, friendly manner and unique, creative style. We would thoroughly recommend him.”

Thank you to Louise and David for your kind words!

February 15th, 2010 by admin | Comments Off | Filed in Careys Manor Wedding, Hampshire Photographers, Photo News, Weddings

Had a lovely review on freeindex.co.uk from a recent wedding, great write up and maximum stars for value, service and quality – so I thought I would post it here for you to read:

“Kevin photographed our wedding in May 2009 after being recommended to us by friends. From the initial consultation through to the final prints being delivered, the service provided was excellent. The quality of the photos were exceptional and bring the memories flooding back. I would recommend Kevin to anyone wishing to have their wedding captured in a friendly yet professional manner – you will not be disappointed.”  Mike Llewellyn.

Floral Arrangements Shoot

February 14th, 2010 by admin | Comments Off | Filed in Commercial Photography

A local artist asked me to photograph some of her work for a catalogue this weekend. She makes artificial floral arrangements mounted on canvas on wooden stretchers. These are great and really effective and she will be selling them at a couple of outlets, yet to be confirmed but I will keep to posted when I find out more. The shoot took place at her studio using natural light.
